MediaMonks Buenos Aires is in search of an visually-oriented Quality Assurance Tester to make sure our digital campaigns look as promised before they’re released into the wwwild. If you want to vet the work we produce for major brands such as Adidas, Amazon, Netflix and HP, we’d love to go over your application.
Role & Responsibilities
As a QA Monk at our award-winning ads & assets division, you’ll employ you knowledge of QA testing methods to assess and ascertain the correct execution of advertising assets such as videos, prerolls, display ads and social content.
Working from Palermo Production Paradise, you make sure everything from logos to buttons look the way they should on any device.
You’re the last line of defense before ads and videos are served to the general public, saving your coworkers from potentially embarrassing mistakes.
You check for functionality, specs, tracking and usability metrics.
Like a broken record (that isn’t broken), you constantly ask: is the design pixel perfect, does it meet guidelines and requirements, does it click, does it log metrics correctly, is the ad legible and easy to interact with?
Next to testing, you help to better integrate quality assurance into the overall production process, making sure QA methods are tuned to our projects and workload.
You educate our developers, designers, animators and PMs on best practices and developments in the field, so that you don’t have to point out the obvious.
You’ll help educating our developers and PMs on the role of QA, working together to make QA an integral part of every process.
This requires you to actively research trends and stay up to date with the requirements and guidelines in the world of display ads.
You will be expected to get your DoubleClick QA certification (it’s a big plus if you already have one).
You have 2-3 years QA-testing experience.
With an eye for aesthetics and usability, you’re experienced in making sure visual and functional guidelines are met in every instant.
You know how to test for different types of multimedia issues.
As MediaMonks produces a wealth of rich media, video ads and static banners, we bank on your ability organise and prioritise your workload to keep on top of your QA game.
MediaMonks produces a great deal of banners and so your ability to organise and prioritise your workload keeps you on top of the banner game.
You’re experienced working directly with developers as part of agile projects.
Furthermore, you’re able to report issues in detail so that your coworkers can resolve any technical or graphical issues without needing another word.
Writing end-to-end test plans and comprehensive use cases has been a standard feat in your rigorous repertoire, covering everything from general dependencies to specific edge cases.
Likewise, writing test cases is not a test for you.
Can I Click It? is your anthem when you’re looking for loopholes, exploits, bugs or anything else that’ll drive your coworkers in development crazy.
Any experience with Google DoubleClick QA and defect-tracking systems such as Mantis, JIRA and Assembla will help you hit the ground running, but are also aspects of the job you’ll be eased into.
